Born in 1946, Paolo established the Marolo distillery in 1977. Since then, his life has been dedicated to the perfection and promotion of grappa. His work is that of an artisan, of hands, passion and palate. He still spends many hours in the distillery, personally guiding the distillation process with his experience. Paolo Marolo was a pupil of the Scuola Enologica di Alba and formed part of a group of students who in the 70s were on a mission: to advance the possibility of winemaking and create value from the extraordinary vinicultural heritage of the Langhe.  In 1977, along with his brother, Paolo started the Santa Teresa Distillery out of his family home in Mussotto.
